To strengthen our Suntrace – Team in Hamburg we are currently looking for
Suntrace is a solar power consulting company founded in 2009 and headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. We are an independent expert, covering the range of technology applications including solar Photovoltaics (PV), ground-mounted and floating, solar thermal, Concentrating Solar (CSP), thermal storage, battery storage, and combinations of these in hybrid systems (with fossil & renewable).
Our service range covers the full project life cycle of solar power projects from early project development to project implementation and operation. Our clients are institutional and development finance institutes, independent power producers, project developers as well as governmental and research institutions. We specialize in emerging markets and developing economies and have carried out over 100 projects in over 40 countries worldwide, but we are increasingly working in the EU as well.
To support our renewable energy resource team, we are currently looking for a skilled and passionate intern for our head
quarter in Hamburg.
Your responsibilities:
- Support us during acquisition and execution of solar resource measurement campaigns for our clients in large-scale solar power and storage projects all over the world
- Create technical drawings and draft reports
- Support marketing of solar measurement campaigns
- Support preparation of offers including financial and technical proposals
- Support of other Suntrace projects as required
Your profile:
- Student (m/f/x) preferably studying Industrial Engineering (Wirtschafts-Ingenieurwesen) or specializing on Renewable Energy
- We are interested in students (m/f/x) already from the 3rd semester onwards during their bachelor studies, but also open for Master students (m/f/x)
- Interest in renewable energy markets, meteorology, environmental measurements
- Open for marketing and sales aspects with a dedication for finding best solutions for customers and automation of business processes
- Outgoing personality with a keen interest in networking
- Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
- Not mandatory, but advantageous skills and experiences: experience with 2D/3D CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD or Inventor), Linux, LaTeX, webpage design ideally using WordPress
- Fluent in English and German, additional knowledge of other languages (e.g. French) is an asset
- Interdisciplinary and intercultural skills
- Self-motivated, diligent and independent working attitude, customer oriented mind set
- Actively supporting solar power projects in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America
- Dynamic international team with profound expertise in solar energy, conventional energy and energy markets
- Practical experience in solar energy projects implementation
- Bachelor or Master thesis topics might evolve of a successful internship
