Suntrace is a solar power consulting company founded in 2009 and headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. We are an independent expert, covering the range of technology applications including solar Photovoltaics (PV), ground-mounted and floating, solar thermal, Concentrating Solar (CSP), thermal storage, battery storage, and combinations of these in hybrid systems (with fossil & renewable).
Our service range covers the full project life cycle of solar power projects from early project development to project implementation and operation. Our clients are institutional and development finance institutes, independent power producers, project developers as well as governmental and research institutions. We specialize in emerging markets and developing economies and have carried out over 100 projects in over 40 countries worldwide, but we are increasingly working in the EU as well.
To support our renewable energy resource team, we are currently looking for a skilled and passionate Product Manager (m/f/x) for our head quarter in Hamburg.
Job description:
- Manage the development of our products in the field of solar measurement campaigns and assessments
- Create product brochures and other promotional materials
- Support the sales activities of our renewable energy resource products
- Advance business growth actively by generating new sales activities
- Network and manage our global customer base
- Contribute to a compelling product strategy with ideas based on understanding the growing market for renewable energies
Your ideal profile:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in industrial engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen) but also open to other faculties like Renewable Engineering or Geosciences
- Interest in renewable energy markets, meteorology, environmental measurements and economics
- Good understanding of technology and eCommerce, business processes and functional dependencies
- Practical technical know-how from electronics, to measurement instruments and data analysis
- Interest in marketing and sales aspects with a dedication for finding best solutions for customers and automation of business processes
- Outgoing personality with a keen interest in networking
- Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
- Not mandatory, but advantageous skills and experiences: experience with 2D/3D CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD or Inventor), Linux, LaTeX, webpage design ideally using WordPress
- Fluent in English and German, additional knowledge of other languages (e.g. French) is an asset
- Interdisciplinary and intercultural skills
- Self-motivated, diligent and independent working attitude, customer oriented mind set
